HERCULANEUM, Mo. -- Joe Vrbosky, 72, of Herculaneum, formerly of Jackson, died Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Scenic View Nursing Home.

He was born July 19, 1946, in Jackson to George Joseph and Mary Caroline Bartels Vrbosky.

Joe was confirmed in May 1960 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School in 1964.

He had lived on the family farm southwest of Jackson until 1979. Joe was employed at Dow Chemical in Pevely, Missouri, retiring after 25 years of service.

Survivors include his brother, Paul (Beth) Vrbosky of Jackson; sister, Betty Ann Phillips of Jackson; three nieces, Andrea Staton, Amy (David) Holmes and Angela Phillips (Randy) Whitticre; two great-nieces, Morgan Holmes and Avery Whitticre; and a great-nephew, Nolan Holmes.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Jackson Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund in Jackson or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City, Missouri.
