JOE T. WHITE

DORENA -- Funeral service for Joe Taylor White of Dorena will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Clint Wofford will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

White, 78 years old, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 1991, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, following an extended illness.

He was born June 19, 1912, at Dorena, son of Ben C. and Eudora Taylor White. He and the former Barbara Webb were married June 30, 1940, at East Prairie.

White was a farmer and landowner, and member of Nelson United Methodist Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Clifton White of Columbia, Benjamin White of Kirkwood, Warren White of East Prairie; four daughters, Virginia Pohlmann of Hazelwood, Diane Kihara of Saratoga, Calif., Penny Wright of Redlands, Calif., Theresa Neidert of St. Charles; a sister, Mrs. Vernie Parsons of Cleveland, Ohio, and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, sister and brother.
