Joe Lynn Girard, 41, of Oak Ridge was killed Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Brick's Off Road Park in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born Nov. 7, 1976, in Chaffee, Missouri, to James "Jim" Elbert and Virginia "Jen" Lee Ahrens Girard.
He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1996.
He worked at TAG Truck Center in Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia "Jen" Lee Girard; two brothers, Jamie (Casey Kennedy) Girard and Jeff Ahrens; three nieces, Isabelle and Dakota Girard, both of Oak Ridge, and Kally Hubbard of Bernie, Missouri; three nephews, Alex Ahrens of Jackson, Tyler Fisher of Cape Girardeau and Tony Barton of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to family to assist with funeral expenses.
