PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- F. W. "Joe" Baudendistel, 84, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Holiday Residential Facility in Perryville.
He was born Oct. 30, 1930, at Perryville, son of Clarence and Stella Moonier Baudendistel.
He married Margaret Louis Brown on Jan. 19, 1952, in St. Louis. She preceded him in death Feb. 18, 2011.
Joe had been a sales manager for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. Joe loved hunting and fishing; his beloved bird dog, Sam; and traveling with Marge. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Holiday Residential Care in Perryville for the love and care of Joe and a special thanks to caregivers Kay and Kelly.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Baudendistel of Brentwood, Missouri, and Laura Worcester of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; granddaughters Leanna and Simone Baudendistel and Natalie and Ariana Worcester; and a sister-in-law, Toni Whaley of Mobile, Alabama. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Winfred "Wick" Baudendistel.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan, CM, officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
