Ernest Joseph "Jody" Hagy, 49, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born May 6, 1949, at Dexter, son of John and Beatrice Hagy. He and Nancy Howard Parrish were married Feb. 5, 1995, in St. Louis. Hagy was a truck driver with Delta Express. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bell City. Ernest Joseph "Jody" Hagy, 49, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born May 6, 1949, at Dexter, son of John and Beatrice Hagy. He and Nancy Howard Parrish were married Feb. 5, 1995, in St. Louis.

Hagy was a truck driver with Delta Express. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bell City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Hagy moved to Cape Girardeau four years ago from Dexter.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bond Hagy of Alton, Joseph Hagy of Dexter; three daughters, Barbara Fluharty of Neelyville, Ashley Hagy of Dexter, Charisse Parrish of Cape Girardeau; and his parents of Dexter.

Also surviving are three brothers, John and James Hagy, both of Dexter, Earl Hagy of St. Louis; 10 sisters, Claudia Scott, Sandra Baccus, Wanda Drews, Doris Price, Cora Magarian and Vida Scott, all of Dexter, Nellie Runyon of Olney, Ill., Juanita Willoughby of Quapaw, Okla., Carolyn Fielder of Canalou, Lidale Hagy of California; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Curtis True officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
