JOANN SIMPSON

ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Joann Simpson of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harry Wilkerson will officiate, with burial in Brownwood Cemetery at Brownwood.

Simpson, 58, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Jan. 31, 1938, in Grubbs, Ark., daughter of Sylvester and Estella Mitts Ross.

Survivors include three sons, Buddy Kennedy of Aurora, Jim Kennedy of Little Rock, Ark., Kelly Kennedy of Brownwood; a daughter, Laura Lemons of Brownwood; a brother, Bill Ross of Sikeston; eight sisters, Liz Abernathy, Pat Pickett, Faye Sanduski and Madilyn Brewer of Jackson, Debra Houskins of Benton, Lavern Scherspesky of Fennville, Mich., Joyce Jones of Sikeston, Sandra Freeman of Hillsboro, Ill., and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.
