JoAnn Schott, daughter of the late Benjamin H. Hennemann and Luvina Winkler Hennemann, was born Aug. 16, 1937, in Perry County, Missouri, and departed this life Friday, April 17, 2020, at Monticello House in Jackson at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Schott was a former administrative assistant for General Contract Loan Co. in Sikeston, Missouri, and retired from First Commercial Bank in Morley, Missouri.
She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, where she served as secretary of the Guardian Angel Parish Council, K.C. Ette’s and St. Ann Sodality.
JoAnn was currently residing at Monticello House in Jackson and was a former resident of Oran, Missouri.
On April 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to John A. Schott, and to this union three daughters and two sons were born. Mr. Schott survives of the home in Oran.
Besides her husband, John Schott, survivors include, three daughters, Cindy Laskowitz of Pocahontas, Denise Menz (Greg) of Benton, Missouri, and Renee Reinagel (Jeff) of Kelso, Missouri; two sons, Kent Schott (Traci) of Jackson, Tennessee, and Rick Schott of Jackson, Missouri; three brothers, James Hennemann of Cape Girardeau, Donnie Hennemann of Kelso and Alan Hennemann of Benton; two sisters, Jeannie Fodge and Geri Lynn Hennemann, both of Benton; also by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Andrew Laskowitz; one brother, Ralph Hennemann; and by one sister, Yvonne McVay.
Private funeral Mass was held Saturday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with a private interment following in Guardian Angel Cemetery, with Father Randy Tochtrop officiating.
