SIKESTON -- JoAnn Inman, 71, of Sikeston died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur.
She was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Otto and Essie Carman Gillian Botter. She and E.R. "Dick" Inman were married July 10, 1949, at Sikeston.
Inman had been a volunteer with American Cancer Society Research, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Missouri Delta Medical Center 45 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, served on the church administrative board and other committees, was a Girl Scout leader and organizer, served on Southwest Elementary School PTO, and had been on the Parents Advisory Board at Sikeston High School.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melinda Newton of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; Lisa Inman of Sikeston; a brother, William Botter of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Carmen Williams of Henrietta, N.Y., Mary Nus of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-7:30 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Davis and the Rev. Sandra Schaller will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
