Joan Roach, 89, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Anna House in Bridgeton, Missouri.
She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Piggott, Arkansas, daughter of Elbert Owen and Gertie Lee Montgomery Brandon. She and Hiram Daniel Roach were married March 6, 1993, in Florissant, Missouri. They had been married 13 years, when Hiram passed away March 28, 2006.
After graduating from Piggott High School, Joan moved to St. Louis, where she worked at General Motors for many years. In 1993 she and Hiram moved to Jackson.
Joan enjoyed cooking for her family and playing pinochle.
Loving survivors include three sons, John and Kevin Kreher of Florissant and Paul (Valerie) Kreher of Warrensburg, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Joshua Kreher, Jennifer (Josh) Niederer, Rebecca Ann (Luke) Chambers, Wyatt (Shawna) Kreher, Ian (Charity) Kreher, Seth (Miriam) Kreher, Nathan Kreher and Carolyn Kreher; nine great-grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Luca, Ledger, Calian, Oliver, Hudson, Daisy and Winston; and a sister, Sue Grammer of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith Kreher; her husband, parents and eight siblings.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor's choice of church or charity.
