BERTRAND -- Joan Marie Bowers, 46, of Bertrand, died Sunday, May 14, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Oct. 9, 1948, at Sikeston, daughter of W.C. "Dub" and Martha McClain Groves.
Bowers was owner and manager of Golden Vision Day Program in Sikeston, and was mayor of Bertrand several years. She attended the United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include two daughters, Stacey and Darice Bowers of Bertrand; her parents of Bertrand; a sister, Debra Ruiz of San Antonio, Texas, and a grandson.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alma Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
