Joan Ann Hoehn, 75, of Perryville, passed away on August 16, 2024. A retired postmaster and cancer survivor, Joan was devoted to her family and community. Visitation and funeral details available.

Joan Ann Hoehn, 75, of Perryville passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at her home.

Joan was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Perryville to Percy A. and Dolores T. Brewer Buchheit.

She and Calvin Paul Hoehn were married April 12, 1969, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage. He preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2008.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown.

She retired as a postmaster from the Pocahontas Post Office.

Joan was a proud survivor of cancer. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her dog, Callie. Most of all, Joan loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed going to their school and sporting events.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Shannon) Hoehn and Keith (Dana) Hoehn, both of Perryville; daughter, Amy (Todd) Roth of Cape Girardeau; three siblings, Donna Hager of St. Louis, Craig Buchheit of Perryville and Cindy Buchheit of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Brendan Smock, Logan Hoehn, Elsie Hoehn, Zoie Roth and Ian Roth; and sister-in-law, Arlene Hoehn of Perryville.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-Law.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Joe Geders, C.M., officiating Burial will be at Point Rest Cemetery in Menfro.

Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Crosstown for Point Rest Cemetery.
