Joan Ellen Foeste, 71, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 30, 1948, in Cape Girardeau to Roscoe and Georgia Lillian Davis Huckstep. She and James Michael Foeste were married Jan. 23, 1965, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
She was a beautician, having owned Joan's County Curl and River City Hair Designs.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Sue (Anthony Miller) Foeste of Cape Girardeau; son, Darrell Wayne (Christy Gowan) Foeste of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Janet Jones of Cape Girardeau and Margaret Wissmann of Jackson; brothers, Joe Huckstep of Scott City, John Huckstep of Cape Girardeau and Jack Huckstep of Scott City; granddaughters, Tara (Quinn) Eudy of Dublin, California, Taylor Welker of Cape Girardeau, Brandy (Garrett) Metje of Scott City, Amanda (Jared) Bomar of Jackson, Molly Foeste of Perryville, Missouri, and Kassidy Gowan of Cape Girardeau; grandsons, Trevor (Taylor) Foeste and Nathan Foeste, both of Cape Girardeau; and great-grandchildren, Keller Foeste, Grayson Bomar, Rylen Eudy and Colton Metje.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Judy Propst and Jane Garcia; and brothers, Jerry, James and Jerrold Huckstep.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepard Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
