Joan Faye Leimer, 71, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at her home.

She was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Schomish, Washington, daughter of John Paul and Luvina Unterreiner Beanland. She and Robert L. Leimer were married Feb. 10, 1977, in Jackson.

Joan Faye graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1963. She worked at the Prince Garner billfold factory in St. Mary, Missouri, Lenco in Jackson, the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau and Quality Packaging in Jackson. She retired in 2013.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas and attended Cape County Cowboy Church in Oak Ridge.

Joan Faye was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending country-music shows.

Loving survivors include three children, Robin Marberry of Cape Girardeau and Kevin (Cathy) Schremp and Bryan (Ashly) Leimer of Jackson; three stepchildren, Rocky Leimer of Pocahontas, Bobbi (Clarence) Lenear of Humble, Texas, and Tina Leimer of Tiburon, California; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, John Ray "Sonney" (Wanda) Beanland, Ron (Marilyn) Beanland and Glenn (Emily) Beanland of Anna, Illinois, Leonard (Paula) Beanland and Teddy (Nancy) Beanland of Dongola, Illinois, Scharlene (Bill) Jones of Millersville, Patsy (the late Jeff) Reeves of Branson, Missouri, and Suzzie (Mike) Thieke of Dawsonville, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The visitation will be from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday in chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Bradt officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Pocahontas.

The family suggests contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas or Saint Francis Hospice.
