CHAFFEE, Mo. — Jo Ann Dudley Stovall, daughter of the late Robert Joe Dudley and Elizabeth Menz Dudley, was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Randles and departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at her home, at the age of 74.
She was united in marriage to Robert Canon Stovall on June 19, 1992. He preceded her in death.
Jo graduated in 1966 from Chaffee High School and went on to attend Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
Jo Ann was previously employed by Southeast Hospital and was an administrative assistant for 19 years with SoutheastHEALTH.
She was a Christian who loved and worshipped Jesus. Her last church involvement was with Lake Girardeau Assembly of God.
Survivors include one son, Garret "Chad" (Sonja) Harrell of Oran, Missouri; one stepson, Robert (Kimberly) Stovall of Arnold, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Gale (Royce) Ruddick; eight grandchildren, Robert Gage (Nathan Brewer) Harrell of Southhaven, Mississippi, Garret Anthony (Brittany) Harrell, Daniel (Ashley) Ruddick, Amanda (Steve) Moak, Nate Stovall, Robyn (Kyle) Wand, Robert "Christian" Stovall and Abigail (Garrett) Korn; and by 11 great-grandchildren, Delacie Annamay Harrell, Abbygale Marie Harrell, Krystalynne Jade Mcglothlin, Kinsley Renee Mcglothlin, Rylee Ruddick, Gage Ruddick, Savanna Moak, Levi Moak, Darby (Marc) Cruz, Malachi Wand, and Mirabelle Wand.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wayne Dudley.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Stovall officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
