MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Phyllis "Jo" Liley, 61, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1939, in Athens, Ala., daughter of William Marion and Beulah Wade White Gibson. She and Lindall Henry Liley were married Feb. 2, 1973.
Liley owned a clothing shop from 1958-91 and also owned a restaurant during that time with her husband. She had worked at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Cape Girardeau the past nine years. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gene Ward of Marble Hill, Jason Liley of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sandra Ward Fox of Marble Hill; six brothers, Richard and Tony Gibson of Athens, Buddy and Travis Gibson of Tanner, Ala., Grady Gibson of Clewiston, Fla., William Gibson of LaBelle, Fla.; a sister, Linda Harrison of Clarkton, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Revs. Fred Ritter and Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
