Jimmy Lee Williams, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 30, 2004, at his home.

He was born Jan. 18, 1943, at Crump, son of Oliver A. and Beulah Barks Williams. He and Valerie Feltus Wilson were married Nov. 26, 1988, in Cape Girardeau.

Williams graduated from Delta High School in 1960. He worked with his father in construction and graduated from the St. Louis Barber School in 1963. Since 1967, Williams owned and operated Model Hair World in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the Harrig Committee for Redevelopment for South Cape Girardeau and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. Williams also served in the U.S. Army Reserves out of Cape Girardeau and was a former board member of the Hidden Valley Fishing Club.

Loving survivors include his wife; three sons, Todd Williams and his wife, Terri, of Nashville, Tenn., Randy Williams of Poplar Bluff and Scott Williams of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, David Wilson and his wife, Lisa, of Cape Girardeau and Dennis Wilson and his wife, Libby, of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister, Melva Crowell and her husband, Eddie, of Scott City; three grandchildren, Shayden Williams and Austin and Sophia Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Glenda Vogel in 1994 and Linda Williams in 2003.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home between 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Revs. Clayton Smith, Donnie Ford and Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Southeast Missouri Hospice.
