ANNA, Ill. -- James H. "Jimmy" Murray, 59, of Anna died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta.

He was born June 17, 1940, at Cobden, son of Bill and Bertie Burnett Murray. He and Sue Campbell were married June 10, 1972, in Anna.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Janette Murray of Anna; four sisters, Betty Stegle of Anna, Dorothy Burgess of Marion, Laverne Highland of Chicago, Bertie Green of Birmingham, Ala.; six brothers, Bill Murray of Alto Pass, Melvin Murray of Justice, Donnie, Frankie and Bobby Murray, all of Anna, and Charlie Murray of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
