BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Jimmy Ray Mayberry, 75, of Bloomfield passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at his home. He was born Dec. 18, 1940, in Morley, Missouri, the son of Lonnie and Mildred Tucker Mayberry. Jimmy was a retired logger and saw miller. He also was the owner and operator of a cattle farm. He was a member of Zalma General Baptist Church at Zalma, Missouri, and Zalma Masonic Lodge 545...

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Jimmy Ray Mayberry, 75, of Bloomfield passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at his home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1940, in Morley, Missouri, the son of Lonnie and Mildred Tucker Mayberry.

Jimmy was a retired logger and saw miller. He also was the owner and operator of a cattle farm. He was a member of Zalma General Baptist Church at Zalma, Missouri, and Zalma Masonic Lodge 545.

Jimmy and Nancy Bell Hastings were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death Dec. 30, 1985. He later married Frances Fralick, and she preceded him in death March 26, 2013.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie White and Vickey Slaughter, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Julie Hendershot of Advance, Missouri; two brothers, Roger Mayberry and Bob Mayberry, both of Zalma; three sisters, Betty Koyle of Zalma, Brenda Lineberry of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Michelle Bailey of Puxico, Missouri; four granddaughters, Amanda Wallace, Katlin Slaughter, Halley Slaughter and Danielle Putnam; and three great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; a granddaughter, Jennifer White; a brother, Larry Mayberry; and two sisters, Marlene Shanks and Barbara Niedner.

The funeral service was Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating and Leeman Shirrell assisting. Burial was at Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, Missouri.
