KEWANEE -- Funeral service for Jimmy Dale Holland of Kewanee was held Monday at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. LeRoy Thornton officiated, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
Holland, 58, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness.
He was born April 15, 1938, in East Prairie, son of Samuel Barton and Violet Zuck Holland.
Holland was a self-employed truck driver. He moved to Kewanee in 1995 from Corydon, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Holland Jr. of Boston, Mass.; four daughters, Joyce Holland of Florida, Sheila Holland of New Hampshire, Shirley Holland of Boston, Theresa Holland of Maine; a brother, Howard Holland of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Ella Sherman of Orlando, Fla., Martha Whistle of Corydon, Alma Collard of Elizabeth, Ind.; and several grandchildren.
