SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jimmie Lee Summers, 70, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 30, 1932, in Chaffee, Mo., son of Leo and Violet Gore Summers. He and Coy Mae Standridge were married Dec. 29, 1954, in Holly Springs, Miss. She died May 28, 2001.
Summers was a parts exchanger in the maintenance department at International Shoe Co. in Sikeston. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church at Blodgett, Mo.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Johnson and Pamela Dodds of Sikeston, Brenda Bon'e of Dewy Rose, Ga.; two sisters, Audrey Sterling of Mayfield, Ky., Shirley Finney of Windfall, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joe Crawford and Danny Rice officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
