DONGOLA, Ill. -- Jimmie W. Miller, 51, of Dongola, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Jan. 13, 1950, in Wetaug, Ill., son of Loren and Lizzie L. Phalin Miller. He married Gloria Lint on Aug. 25, 1998.
He was a Baptist and a Vietnam veteran who had served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America and a welder at Transcraft Corp.
Survivors include his wife, his mother, Lizzie LaCroix of Dongola; a stepson, Shawn Lint of Dongola; a sister, Karen Sheppard of New Burnside, Ill.; a brother, Larry Miller of Dongola; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, with military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
