MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Jimmie L. Clanahan, 56, of Mound City died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Ill.
He was born Jan. 25, 1948, in Mound City, son of Milas and Mildred Adams Clanahan.
Clanahan attended the Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Combat Medic Badge.
Survivors include his wife, Morrissa; two daughters, Suzanne Campbell of Austin, Texas, Shannon Bigham of Olive Branch, Ill.; a son, Brad Clanahan of Villa Ridge, Ill.; his mother of Mound City; a brother, Harvey Clanahan of Mound City; a sister, Nancy Keistler of Villa Ridge; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 4:30 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Buddy Walls and Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery, with military honors by Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 at Mounds, Ill.
