MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Jimmie Gale Bollinger, 91, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Marble Hill, the son of John Henry and Mildred Kinder Bollinger. Jimmie had a long career as a construction worker. MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Jimmie Gale Bollinger, 91, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Marble Hill, the son of John Henry and Mildred Kinder Bollinger.

Jimmie had a long career as a construction worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau VFW.

He enjoyed reading, horses, camping, hunting, fishing, telling stories and was a good cook. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jimmie and Bonnie June Fahrenkrog were united in marriage April 17, 2009, at Fort Smith, Arkansas, and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bollinger of the home; three sons, Kevin Bollinger of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Nick and Mike Bollinger, both of Marble Hill; a daughter, Sabrina Stevens of Perrysburg, Ohio; two sisters, Rita B. Smith of Baltimore and Virginia Crum of Arvata, Colorado; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Robert and Kirk Bollinger; three brothers; four sisters; and a great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A private service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
