GLENALLEN, Mo. -- James Dwane Rainey Sr., 62, of Glenallen died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, in his wife's arms at their home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1952, at Advance, son of William Theodore and Bernice Murphy Rainey. Jim and Regina Corbin were married July 21, 1983. She is the daughter of the Rev. Jimmie and Elwanda Corbin.
Jim retired from Burlington-Northern Railroad. He was a member of Bell City Masonic Lodge. He loved his family, farming, being on a tractor and riding horses. He attended Zalma General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Rainey of the home; a son, James Dwane (Caryn) Rainey Jr. of Glenallen and children Tess and Joshua Rainey; a daughter, Tabitha Ann (Barry) Grossman of Cape Girardeau and children Justice Brown, Bruester and Gloria Young; two brothers, Dennis (Linda) Rainey of Kennett, Missouri, and Harold Floyd Rainey of Auxvasse, Missouri; three sisters, Kathy Meesakul of Cocoa, Florida, Dorothy Lewis of Sikeston, Missouri, and Brenda Boyer of Advance, Missouri; and parents-in-law of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Lloyd Rainey; his parents; and a special paternal grandmother, Grandma Rainey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
