CAIRO, Ill. -- Jim Ben Lindsey, 70, of Cairo died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Daystar Care Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Berkley, Ky., son of Edgar and Dovie DeWeese Lindsey.
Lindsey had been a self-employed house painter. He attended the Community Chapel in Urbandale.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Pickle of Rockledge, Fla.; four sons, Nicholas Lindsey of Elkhart, Ind., Joseph Lindsey of Edwardsburg, Mich., Charles Lindsey of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Michael Lindsey of Durham, N.C.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 8-10 a.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Old Mayfield Creek Cemetery near Bardwell, Ky.
