CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jim Jobe, 68, of Chaffee passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 28, 1946, in Oakland City, Ind., to Fred William and Marjorie White Jobe. He and Cindy Edwards were married Nov. 26, 1988.
Jim was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, and served in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972.
He was a retired truck driver and machine operator at Blair Industries in Scott City. He was a member of Sikeston Eagles and Sikeston American Legion Post 114.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; a son, Shawn (Terri) Jobe of Chaffee; two brothers, Bill (Darlene) Jobe and Mike (Danni) Jobe of Chaffee; a sister, Gail (Gene) Ing of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Kelli Besand, Misty Neal and Casey Jobe; a great-grandson, Isaac Ray Neal; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Greg; and a sister, Sue Ann Rinehart.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
