PARMA -- Funeral for Jim Scott Beans of St. Louis will be held at 1 p.m. today at Church of God in Christ in Parma. Elder Ronnie Pulley will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.
Friends may call at the church from noon to service time.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
Beans, 48, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, in St. Louis.
He was born May 21, 1951, at Parma, son of Edward Franklin and Lessie Mae Corbin Beans. He and Mary McMullen were married July 4, 1985, in Cape Girardeau.
Beans was a member of the Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony Beans of Cape Girardeau, Demetrius Douglas of Kokomo, Ind., Donald McCleary of Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Leslie and Victoria Beans of Baton Rouge, La.; and his mother of Parma.
Also surviving are three sisters, Dora Burnett and Frankie Hendrickson of Kokomo, Nancy Gibson of Chicago; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
