ADVANCE, Mo. -- Jewell Juanita Wiseman, 90, of Advance, formerly of Puxico, Mo., was born March 19, 1915, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Herman and Myrtle Morton George.
She passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Jewell owned and operated Wiseman's Grocery Store near Arab, Mo., with her husband for over 30 years. She was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church and Zalma Order of Eastern Star. She also enjoyed making quilts.
Jewell and Raymond Wiseman were united in marriage Nov. 30, 1932, at Zalma. He preceded her in death in August 1994.
Loving survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Carl Carter of Wentzville, Mo.; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Linda Wiseman of Puxico; a granddaughter and husband, Terri and Stan West of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons and wives, Gerald and Denise Carter of Wentzville, Tim and Annette Wiseman of Marble Hill, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon West of Springfield, Mo., Bridget Epps of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Dustin Wiseman of Farmington, Mo., Chad Wiseman, Lance West and Curt Wiseman, all of Cape Girardeau, Wade Wiseman of Marble Hill, Journee Carter and Jasmine Carter, both of Wentzville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today. Order of Eastern Star rites will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn Epps III officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Carter, Tim Wiseman, Stan West, Brandon West, Dustin Wiseman, Chad Wiseman, Lance West, Curt Wiseman and Wade Wiseman.
