JONESBORO, Ill. -- Jewell Tweedy, 90, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1993, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.
She was born June 5, 1903, in Woodyard, daughter of Samuel and Henrietta Smith Howe. She married Ernest Tweedy.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Helena Dorsey of Goreville, Ava Ray of Anna, Faith Harris of Granite City, Charity Swink of East Carondelet; a son, Steve Tweedy of Tallahassee, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, eight brothers, a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel in Jonesboro. The Rev. Richard Sullins will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
