BERNIE, Mo. -- Funeral for Jewell Evelyn Tryon of San Manuel, Ariz., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie. The Rev. Ivan Mekan will officiate. Burial will be in Smith-Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter, Mo.
Tryon, 68, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at her home.
She was born June 20, 1932, at Powe, Mo., daughter of Jack and Mattie Crane Sandusky. She and Gerald Tryon were married May 25, 1971.
Tryon was a member of the Church of Shalom at Powe.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mike Jennings of Powe, Randy Jennings of Bernie; two daughters, Connie Jennings of Marana, Ariz., Darla McIver of Clarksville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Jerry and John Tryon of Troy, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Jerri Revils of Superior, Ariz., Lori Bender of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Billy and Jerry Sandusky of Dexter; two sisters, Wanda Driver of Trumann, Ark., Sue Barker of Parma, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
