PUXICO -- Jewel "Cotton" Kitchen, 72, of Puxico died Thursday, May 25, 1995, at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born June 6, 1922, at Kennett, the son of Emerson and Bertha Akers Kitchen.
He was a retired plumber. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Gary Kitchen of Dexter; two daughters, Karla West of Montgomery City and Sherry McCain of Advance; a brother, Ruben Kitchen of Puxico; four sisters, Mary Hancock of Puxico, Billie Hargrave of Livonia, Miss.; Betty Parks of Maplewood and Marvin Beaudean of Sikeston; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, with the Rev. Marshall Link officiating. Burial was in the Puxico Cemetery.
