CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jewell Marie Elsperman, 78, of Chaffee died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 25, 1927, at Morley, Mo., daughter of Thomas Johnathan and Myrtle Mae Cruse Jackson. She and Norman Elsperman were married Aug. 15, 1942.
Elsperman had been a machine operator at Convair Aeronautical in San Diego, Calif., and retired as a cook with the U.S. Army in Yuma, Ariz.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Norman Elsperman Jr. of Chaffee, David Elsperman of Spring Valley, Calif., Mike Elsperman of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Forrest Jackson of Bloomfield, Mo., Joe Jackson of Sikeston, Mo.; five sisters, Dorothy Bryeans of Morley, Frances Sanders of Cape Girardeau, Wanda Schwartz of Scott City, Betty Lentz and Jan Bivens of Sikeston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
