Funeral mass for Jewel Griffaw, 89 Sena Fawn, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30.
Griffaw, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1906, at Dexter, daughter of Fred and Bertha Cowan Martin. She and Charles T. Griffaw were married April 24, 1926, in Cape Girardeau. He died March 4, 1977.
Griffaw was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Cathedral Women.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Griffaw of Cape Girardeau, Thomas Griffaw of Prestonsburg, Ky., Charles Griffaw Jr. of Texas; two daughters, Mary Ainsworth of Cape Girardeau, Francis Rau of Tishomingo, Okla.; a brother, Floyd Martin of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, five brothers, a sister, and three grandchildren.
