MARBLE HILL -- Jewel D. Stratton, 50, of Sturdivant, died Friday, May 8, 1992 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born at Jaspar, Ala. on May 8, 1942, daughter of Filepe and Lucille Herron Hernandez

She is survived by two sons, James Stratton, of Marble Hill and Kenneth Stratton of Carlinville, Ill; a daughter, Lisa Stratton, of Sturdivant; two brothers, Phillip Hernandez of Taylor, Mich. and Buster Hernandez of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; three sisters, Virginia Poole of Birmingham, Ala., Lois Wilson and Joyce Odom, both of Jaspar, Ala.; and three grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

She moved to this area in 1980 from Michigan. She was a housewife.

Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Liley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lessley Cemetery near Marble Hill.
