SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Jessie Yeakey of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ted Wimberley will officiate, with burial in Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett.
Yeakey, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1992, at Miner Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 1, 1902, in Stoddard County, daughter of William and Aletha Crowe Sifford.
Yeakey was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Gene Hill of Sikeston, Dolph Hill of Roseville, Calif., Ernest Yeakey of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Elvada Winders of Bertrand; a stepson, Ray Yeakey of Michigan; a stepdaughter, Frances Evans of Blodgett; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
