JESSIE M. TOWERY

SIKESTON -- Jessie May Towery, 90, of Sikeston, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Nov. 22, 1903, near Bloomfield, daughter of P.P. and Ora Lee Miles Ferrell. She and Robert L. Towery were married Nov. 17, 1934. He preceded her in death.

Towery resided in Cape Girardeau from 1955 until recently moving to Sikeston. She was head of the alterations department at Buckner-Ragsdale in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Forister of Bloomfield; a brother, Guy Ferrell of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; two sisters, Allie Shaffer and Naomi Love of Morehouse; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Randy Thomas will officiate, with burial in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
