Funeral service for Jessie Mae King of Danbury, Conn., will be held at 1 p.m. next Tuesday at Second Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Clifford Mitchell will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. to service time.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

King, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1993, in Danbury.

She was born Nov. 21, 1908, in Wolf Lake, Ark., daughter of Albert and Emma Whimper Wilson. She and Richard O. King were married in 1938 at Benton. He died in 1982.

King moved to Danbury five years ago from Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, its Mothers' Board and Missions Group.

Survivors include a daughter, Lorene Jefferson of Danbury; a sister, Jo Ann Sorrell of Bakersfield, Calif.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
