BERTRAND -- Jessie L. Stone, 89, of Bertrand, died Thursday, April 22, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born July 10, 1903, in Kentucky, daughter of James and Ida Mae Massey Houston. She and Arthur Ervin Stone were married Feb. 13, 1921. He died Sept. 2, 1969...

BERTRAND -- Jessie L. Stone, 89, of Bertrand, died Thursday, April 22, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 10, 1903, in Kentucky, daughter of James and Ida Mae Massey Houston. She and Arthur Ervin Stone were married Feb. 13, 1921. He died Sept. 2, 1969.

Stone was a member of First General Baptist Church in Charleston.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Stone of Bertrand and Donald Stone of Pana, Ill.; two daughters, Frances Emerson of Morley, Betty Seiler of Modesto, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
