Jessie Giles Henderson, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 12, 1908, in Balard County, Ky., daughter of Frank and Mattie Remley Giles. She was a former resident of Wickliffe, Ky., and retired as a professor with Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardau.
Survivors include one niece, Judy Lane of West Palm Beach, Fla.; nine nephews, Fred Giles of Barlow, Ky., Joe Giles of Joliet, Ill., Jack Giles of Wickliffe, Neil Giles of Batavia, Ill., Tim Giles of Redondo Beach, Calif., Chad Giles of Florence, Ky., Ronnie Giles of Austin, Texas, Paul Holt of Bandana, Ky.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jay White officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ballard County, Ky.
