PARMA, Mo. -- Jessie Edmond Sr., 91, of Parma died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. He was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Coffeeville, Miss., son of Chester and Ella Williams Edmond. He and Joella Rutledge were married Nov. 11, 1950, in Grenada County, Miss. She died Aug. 14, 2001...

PARMA, Mo. -- Jessie Edmond Sr., 91, of Parma died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Coffeeville, Miss., son of Chester and Ella Williams Edmond. He and Joella Rutledge were married Nov. 11, 1950, in Grenada County, Miss. She died Aug. 14, 2001.

Edmond was a farmer, and member of Mount Calvary Church.

Survivors include a son, Jessie Edmond Jr. of Diehlstadt, Mo., and a sister, Lillie Logan of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie, Mo.

Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Johnny Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden, Mo.
