TAMMS, Ill. -- Jesse Provo Jr., 61, Tamms Route 1, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994, at the VA Medical Center in Marion.
He was born March 12, 1932, in Mound City, son of Jesse and Mable Tibbs Provo Sr. He married the former Barbara Moore.
Provo was retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Elton Provo of Tamms, Michael Provo of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Teresa Hente of McClure, Lily Smith of Cape Girardeau; his father of Tamms; three brothers, Francis Pettit of Cairo, Donald Provo of Jacksonville, Barry Provo of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mary Futrell of Hopkinsville, Ky., and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sandusky Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Johnnie B. Gibson will officiate, with burial in National Cemetery at Mound City.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.
