BALLWIN, Mo. — Jesse V. Porch, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.
He was born March 10, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Jesse Andrew and Katherine M. Hodge Porch.
He was a project manager and close friend to Charles Drury of Drury Inns for 43 years.
Survivors include his beloved companion, Carol Ganss; a son, Tim (Sally) Porch of Scott City; four daughters, Kay (Lonnie) Porch, Renee (Tim) Rushing, Kim (Mike) Daniels and Michelle (Jeff) Schwettman; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; Debbie, Diana, Linda and Bill, to whom he was a father figure; two sisters, Vernetta (Jack) Ousnamer and Patricia (Alvie) Modglin; nine others to whom he was a grandfather figure; he was also an uncle, cousin, godfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Angela, and his second wife, Joan.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway Road, Ballwin.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery.
