Jesse E. Obermiller, 87, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, from natural causes at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Jackson to Frederick and Martha Jorden Obermiller. He and Marvalyn Holschen were married July 27, 1950, in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Jesse owned and operated the former Travelers Conoco for 30 years, retiring to his farm in the late 1980s.
Loving survivors include his wife of 66 years, Marvalyn Obermiller of Jackson; three children, Glenda Bridges of Jackson, Michael Obermiller of Jackson and Frederick Obermiller of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Christina Bridges Puckett and husband Daniel, Lisa Obermiller Sanchez and husband Henry and David Obermiller and wife Hope; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Cape County Cowboy Church, the Parkinson's Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
