JACKSON -- Jesse Norman Smith, 79, died at Jackson Manor Saturday, Aug. 1, 1992. He was born May 1, 1913, in the Millersville community, son of Rowan and Idona Hartle Smith. JACKSON -- Jesse Norman Smith, 79, died at Jackson Manor Saturday, Aug. 1, 1992.

He was born May 1, 1913, in the Millersville community, son of Rowan and Idona Hartle Smith.

He Married Nov. 18, 1933 to Flossie Blanche Wilson. She survives.

Other survivors included a brother, Sherman Smith, Flint, Mich; one granchild; and one great grandson.

A son, brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

He lived in Millersville until 1957 when he moved to Jackson.

He worked for International Shoe at Cape Girardeau. He retired from the Jackson R-2 School District Maintenance Department in 1975.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Woods of Millersville Methodist Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
