WHITEWATER -- Jesse Lee Bowers, 64, of Mexia, Texas, died Sunday, March 19, 1995, at Parkview Regional Hospital there.
He was born May 6, 1930, in Whitewater, son of George Washington and Victoria Eakins Bowers. He married the former Blondell M. May.
Bowers was a retired automotive machinist.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Bowers of Tehuacana, Texas; a daughter, Melissa Haney of Tehuacana; three brothers, James Bowers of Cape Girardeau, Lloyd and Floyd Bowers of Delta; four sisters, Betty Moore, Shirley Wilton and Bonnie Chapman, all of Cape Girardeau, Mary Baker of St. Peters, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairview General Baptist Church near Advance, with the Rev. Arvil Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
