JONESBORO, Ill. -- Jesse David Haire, 81, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Anna, Ill., son of John Henry and Lydia Trees Haire. He and Helen Upchurch were married Aug. 15, 1963, at Perryville, Mo. She died Feb. 25, 1997.
Haire worked in the shoe manufacturing business many years.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Larry Laurentius of Jonesboro; five sisters, Elizabeth Manus of Buncombe, Ill., Vera Colboth of Anna, Irma Blankenship of Huntington, W.Va., Mae Stout and Faye Eaves of Lick Creek, Ill.; three brothers, John Haire of Porter, Ind., Lowell Haire of Elgin, Ill., Charley Haire of Anna; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Larry Laurentius and the Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
