ULLIN, Ill. -- Funeral for Jesse L. Fisher of Ullin will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin. The Rev. John Clark and Junior Melvin will officiate. Burial will be in Ullin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Fisher, 91, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Sept. 15, 1909, in Ullin, son of Benjamin Franklin and Susie Allifair Watson Fisher. He and Gladys McHarry were married Aug. 5, 1943. She died Jan. 3, 1985.
Fisher was a retired railroad worker, and member of Ullin Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include four stepdaughters, Janis Corzine of Perks, Ill., Velma Dorsett of Lake Wiley, S.C., JoAnn Gaskill of Manito, Ill., Frances Simmerman of Dongola, Ill.; two sisters, Alvinia Sanders and Ruby Scronce of Columbus, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
