JESSE A. HOLMES

SCOTT CITY -- Jesse Andrew Holmes of Pineville, La., formerly of Scott City, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991, at his home.

He was born Feb. 18, 1917, at Tamms, Ill.

Holmes was employed by Scott City Public Schools 25 years, 11 of those as superintendent.

Survivors include a daughter, Sally Miller of Alexandria, La.; seven grandsons, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. today at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville.
