OLMSTED, Ill. -- Jerry Lane Williamson, 84, of Olmsted passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Jonesboro Rehab & Healthcare Center.
He was born April 29, 1929, in Cambria, Ill., son of Samuel and Thelma Johns Williamson. He and Maxine Varnum Hankla were married Jan. 3, 1981, in Saco, Maine.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He earned a master's degree in engineering, and held many executive positions with several companies over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife Maxine of Olmsted; a daughter, Laurie Batignani of East Windsor, Conn.; a son, Steven Williamson of East Windsor; Maxine's children, Jefferson Hankla of Carbondale, Ill., Gordon Hankla of Anna, Ill., and Susan (Mark) Corey of Clinton Township, Mich.; two grandchildren, Megan and Lindsey Corey; other relatives and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Jon Williamson; a sister, Dr. Patricia Mayer; and his parents, Samuel and Thelma Williamson.
Following Jerry's final wishes, he was cremated. Private service will be at a later date.
Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
