Jerry B. Wagner, 73, of Jackson passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Gipsy, Mo., son of William Madison and Pearless Atlas Kerr Wagner.

He and Darlene Schneider were united in marriage Oct. 30, 1964, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Jerry retired after 35 years from Lone Star Industries and had worked for the Ford Motor Co. in St. Louis and the Jackson International Shoe Co. He was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Wagner of Jackson; son, Michael Wagner of Jackson; daughters, Deborah Wagner of Cape Girardeau and Mary (Neal) Holweg of Leo-pold, Mo.; two grandchildren, Jessie and Ethan Holweg; nephew, Clifton Barnhart of St. Charles, Mo.; and a niece, Patricia McCallister of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dale, Carl and Charles Wagner; five sisters, a stillborn baby, Mary Blacksher, Cleo Lumpkins, Wanda Ham and Sue Aberson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial donations are requested for The Good Shepherd Chapel or charity of choice.
